Square Hue- 9/14 Sydney

Good Morning Beauties! I hope you all have had a wonderfully relaxing weekend! Yesterday we spent the day watching Netflix and making some casserole! Needless to say it was a pretty relaxing day which gave me time to catch up on my swatches! :D Today will be a bit more eventful as we will be heading to the nearest city to visit the Apple store! I started having issues with my battery on my phone so we called tech support and they confirmed that I have a bad battery! :( It will be good to get out of the house and fiddle around! I also plan on stopping at Starbucks to take advantage of the B1G1 free on the fall drinks! :D

Now that I've chatted your head off, let''s get to the real reason you came here! I have for you the 9.14 Sydney Collection from Square Hue. I was so excited for this collection and it was a pleasant surprise when I got it in the mail!!!! The polishes are beautiful and truly represent everything that is fall! As always, the quality was amazing and up there with any other high end. So far out of the 6 polishes I have received none of them were hit or miss!

Let's get started!
************************

Square Hue is a monthly subscription box that is just $14.99 a month, plus shipping and handling. What I love about this box is you get three FULL SIZED polishes with plenty of polish to do manicures again and again!

I did not do this in my last review, but I want to talk about this packaging! I am in love with the way these pretties come packaged! It comes with some worms and an insert that is specifically cut for their polishes! Let's not get me started on the unique square bottles! *gasp*

The first polish up is Oxford Street which is a liquid gold Micro shimmer that for some reason appears a bit more orange in this photo. It is most definitely a true yellow gold!

Application wise this polish applied flawlessly, it needed  coats to be opaque and there were no brush strokes! I think this color is going to be perfect for the fall time as it reminds me of crisp leaves!

Next up is Crown Street which is a beautiful rust orange with micro shimmer. I am not typically into oranges but this color has a true grit to it. It has this gold running through it that is just perfect!

This polish was also a two coater with perfect application and consistency. This polish will also be one that will be perfect for fall as it reminds of a cheery and bright rustic pumpkin!

I saved the best for last! King Street is a beautiful brown that looks like pure chocolate on your nails! When I started swatching this color I could not take it off!!!! I actually had someone say they just "want to lick my nails"! (I know, totally random). But outdoors in natural light the red undertones really comes out making this look like Dr. Pepper on the nail! It's a MUST have for fall, it's TRULY stunning and just gorgeous!

This polish seemed to have a consistency of a crelly but applied like a creme. There is
NO shimmer in this polish and it is a straight creme polish. It applied flawlessly in 2 coats. I've already said my part about how much I love this polish! But let me also tell you, it stamps like a champ!

My last picture I decided again this month to marry all of the polishes together to do a look with all three! I had a few different looks in mind but this one is the one I chose. Overall I really like how this look came out! I did a gradient with Oxford Street & Crown Street and then stamped over the with a design from the Pueen Buffet plates with King Street. I think it looks so rustic and vintage! What do you think?

Review: Duh- Nail polish

Good Morning beauties! I hope you all had a productive beginning of the week! It seems as if lately I'm struggling to get anything done! I think we have all been there though! :-) I have been quite busy working on swatches, and coming up with more ideas for blog posts! Do you have any good ideas for what you would like to see?

The weather in Kentucky has been so humid and hot! Yesterday the temperature was about 90 (yes, in MAY) with what I would have to guess has to be 100% humidity! We're supposed to have 60 degree weather next week, and I am looking forward to that indefinitely!
 **********************

It was great catching up with you all, but without further delay we have nail polishes by Duh- Nail Polish. I have to say how impressed I am with these two polishes! The colors are just beautiful! I paired each design with a simple stamp, which was complementary to each polish and topped with a 1 coat of Seche Vite Fast Dry top coat.
*********************

The first polish is Bring me Spring Flowers which is a beautiful coral with a slight neon feel. This polish also includes speckles of blue, yellow, pink, white, teal, and brighter pink (I'm sure there are colors I'm missing here). Application was very nice with 2 even coats and no streaking, clumping, or balding.

The color of this polish is just beautiful! Honestly it made my camera freak out a bit! The color pictured in the bottle is more true to color and shows that true coral apperance. I tried changing up the settings on my camera and took a milliion shots to get the true coral to come out on the nail and my camera was having no part of it! :-( I will say again though, how much I love this polish! I know this will be a winner for me in the summer months!

The other polish I have is Time for Flip Flops which is a seafoam blue/green polish with white speckles and gorgeous blue hexes! Application was flawless and applied evenly in 2 coats.

This polish is SOOO beautiful!!!! It's a blue/green dream! I fell in love with this swatch so much that I didn't want to remove it and wanted to instantly paint the other hands to match, however I had more swatches to do (I will be wearing this mani again this month). this is another that I will be wearing again all summer!!!!!

As you can see I did get a bit carried away with swatch pics! However I loved these polishes SOOOOO much that I wanted to show in a million angles (hehe).

I am so impressed with Duh-Nail Polish and am so lucky to have had the opportunity to swatch their beautiful polishes! I am definitely interested in purchasing additional polishes in the future!

Their polishes retail for $8.00 which in my opion is a GREAT value at such a great quality! I would recommend these polishes to anyone! If you are interested in purchasing these polishes take a look at the ways to find Duh-Nail Polish to purchase!

I hope you all enjoyed this review and I hope you check out this indie brand! I know you will not be disappointed!

Review: Liquid Glam Lacquer- PLUS RAFFLECOPTER GIVEAWAY!!!!

Hey there Ladies! I thought this past week was never going to end! Have you ever had one of those weeks where it seems like everything that could go wrong, does? I don't like to complain too often so when I do you know that it has been something that I have really let get to me!

I don't know about you, but I love this time of year! I love watching the trees bloom and the flowers grow! This time of year is also the busy time of year for weddings!

Today I have some swatches for you from Liquid Glam Lacquer. This is from her newest collection released on May 1st, the Lets get Married Collection!!!! This collection is so fitting for this time of year and the polishes are all fitting for all year! I thoroughly enjoyed this collection... So let's dive in!

*****************************************

Happily Ever After is a rosy but iridescent polish that shimmers and shines with gold, pink and purple. I layered it over China Glaze "In a Lily bit" from the City Flourish collection.

This polish applied very smooth! what is swatched is 2 coats, as you see this glitter is very sparse but it gives the perfect amount of glitter to layer over practically any color! Stunning glitter topper!

Tie the Knot is such a stunning polish! there are iridescent glitters, red glitters, small sheer hearts and black bows! I put this over a white polish by Sinful colors and for the ring finger I stamped using a Moyou London plate and a Pure Ice silver polish.

The bows is what made me fall in love with this polish in the bottle. When I applied the polish the red glitters made me swoon!!!! The red glitters were so sparkly and beautiful! I did have to fish for the bows, however that is to be expected when they are mixed with the smaller glitters. I found that putting the bottle upside down for about 30 seconds assisted in getting them out. This polish is just beautiful!

Platinum Ring is a beautiful silver polish with micro silver glitters. I applied it with no undies, and topped with a top coat.

This polish is beautiful! I did find that it was a bit streaky during application, however when I applied top coat it seemed to smooth it all out and the streaks mostly disappeared. Without topper it dried to a slight texture finish with a very pretty satin finish.

The Reception is a beautiful beige crelly polish with a variety of colored glitter through-out. No undies in the swatch and about 3 coats gives an opaque finish with NVL.

I liked this polish so well that after I was finished swatching I applied to both hands and wore this beauty to work! This polish is work appropriate for any office job! I applied a Matte Top coat which really helps show the different color glitters. This polish is going to be a favorite for me and will definitely be a staple to my collection! :)

The Bouquet is a pale pink crelly polish with bright pink hex glitters and iridescent hexes throughout. Applied beautifully in 3 coats with little fishing for the larger glitters. I stamped on the ring finger with a MoYou London stamping plate and a Sally Hansen insta-dry polish.

This polish is gorgeous! It is so beautiful and dainty and has the right about of color and sparkle! I loved the application! Everything about this polish is girly, fun, flirty, and screams princess! I think this polish would be great for a wedding or a date night!

These polishes by Liquid Glam Lacquer were beautiful! All polishes are a BIG 5 FREE and are hand blended!

Along with polishes she also makes other products for hands and skin which can be found HERE. I was lucky enough to receive a cuticle oil (which will be featured in a cuticle care blog coming soon) which was scented amazingly like peach!

Review: My-Stash Lacquer- Springtime in Paris

Hello Ladies! I hope you are all having a wonderful week! :-) I have been so busy with everything that I have lined up for you! I have been working on swatches, and new products to introduce you to!

Today I have a super special post for you! I have been working with Danielle at My-Stash Lacquer to show you some of her amazing polishes that she mixes by hand!

Springtime in Paris is a beautiful glitter packed polish that has so many colors of glitter jam packed this bottle that I was in HEAVEN! As you all know I am a total glitter freak!

I was expecting to swatch this polish and move on to the next polish. However, after putting it on and wearing it for a few hours I decided I would be heartbroken to take it off! I ran errands and received so many compliments from every person which I encountered (no joke!!!), that I agreed with myself that it would be a SIN to remove!!!!

I tried to pull out and identify all the different color glitters and my eyes are not capable of doing so!  There are iridescent small and large hexes in pink and blue, bars, black and white, green, purple, all in various sizes, holographic, flakies... Need I say more?!

I wish I could have captured the beauty in the way that it shimmers and shines. These photos do this polish NO Justice!

I layered this polish over OPI's- You're such a Budapest and it gives it a pink tinge in the sun.

Bottle shot of Springtime in Paris

Can you just take a minute to let all of that glitter in!!!!!!

I attempted to zoom in so you could see all of the little specs of glitter there are

Swatch on paper over China Glaze's At Vase Value

One thing I noticed when placing this on paper to swatch, when you put this polish over a green it makes the glitters give off a more greenish tinge- a TRUE chameleon polish!

The formula of this polish was a little thick, but that is to be expected with glitter bombs! I was able to apply easily in 2 thin coats (what I have pictured on my nails). I did not have to manipulate the glitter, dab, or fish to get the application which you see pictured above.

My-Stash Lacquer is sold on Etsy and can be purchased HERE, Full sized bottles are $6.00 and mini Bottles are $3.00!!!!

I would recommend that you check her out on Instagram as well @mystashlacquer

Customer service is amazing, shipping is quick, and the quality is excellent! I am happy to have been able to review this polish to show you the true beauty of this Glitter Bomb!

Check out her other Glitter Bomb polishes HERE

I hope you enjoyed this polish and review as much as I enjoy wearing it and writing it for you!

Mani Monday- Marshmallow Jelly Sandwich

Happy Mani Monday! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! The hubby and I went out to eat on Saturday and then to visit with my family for a bit. Sunday was a little less eventful with lots of Dr. Who, the new Captain America movie and grocery shopping! :-)

I'm waiting on nail mail so I didn't want to do a mani that takes a lot of time so I opted for this jelly sandwich instead. It's very classy and subtle! I hope you like it! :-)

For this look I used 3 coats of OPI's Don't Burst my Bubble, for the ring finger I put on one coat, then one coat of Nicole by OPI's confetti fun and tipped off with 2 more coats of Don't Burst My Bubble. :-)
