Review: Duh- Nail polish

Good Morning beauties! I hope you all had a productive beginning of the week! It seems as if lately I'm struggling to get anything done! I think we have all been there though! :-) I have been quite busy working on swatches, and coming up with more ideas for blog posts! Do you have any good ideas for what you would like to see?

The weather in Kentucky has been so humid and hot! Yesterday the temperature was about 90 (yes, in MAY) with what I would have to guess has to be 100% humidity! We're supposed to have 60 degree weather next week, and I am looking forward to that indefinitely!
 **********************

It was great catching up with you all, but without further delay we have nail polishes by Duh- Nail Polish. I have to say how impressed I am with these two polishes! The colors are just beautiful! I paired each design with a simple stamp, which was complementary to each polish and topped with a 1 coat of Seche Vite Fast Dry top coat.
*********************

The first polish is Bring me Spring Flowers which is a beautiful coral with a slight neon feel. This polish also includes speckles of blue, yellow, pink, white, teal, and brighter pink (I'm sure there are colors I'm missing here). Application was very nice with 2 even coats and no streaking, clumping, or balding.

The color of this polish is just beautiful! Honestly it made my camera freak out a bit! The color pictured in the bottle is more true to color and shows that true coral apperance. I tried changing up the settings on my camera and took a milliion shots to get the true coral to come out on the nail and my camera was having no part of it! :-( I will say again though, how much I love this polish! I know this will be a winner for me in the summer months!

The other polish I have is Time for Flip Flops which is a seafoam blue/green polish with white speckles and gorgeous blue hexes! Application was flawless and applied evenly in 2 coats.

This polish is SOOO beautiful!!!! It's a blue/green dream! I fell in love with this swatch so much that I didn't want to remove it and wanted to instantly paint the other hands to match, however I had more swatches to do (I will be wearing this mani again this month). this is another that I will be wearing again all summer!!!!!

As you can see I did get a bit carried away with swatch pics! However I loved these polishes SOOOOO much that I wanted to show in a million angles (hehe).

I am so impressed with Duh-Nail Polish and am so lucky to have had the opportunity to swatch their beautiful polishes! I am definitely interested in purchasing additional polishes in the future!

Their polishes retail for $8.00 which in my opion is a GREAT value at such a great quality! I would recommend these polishes to anyone! If you are interested in purchasing these polishes take a look at the ways to find Duh-Nail Polish to purchase!

I hope you all enjoyed this review and I hope you check out this indie brand! I know you will not be disappointed!

Review: Super Nails

Hello again!!! I hope you have all been having a wonderful week! I'm finally starting to get back to my healthy self! My full time job has been insane and have had tons of things to catch up on!

The weather where I am seems to have turned from "spring" to "summer" all of a sudden and we have bees and birds flying everywhere! How is the weather where you are?

I was sent these three polishes by Super Nails for review. These three polishes are all glitterbomb toppers packed with unique and beautiful glitters.

I tried to do something a bit different in this review and add some tiny and simple elements of nail art to make them easy to re-create and flattering for anyone while complimenting the name if the polish!

*********
The first polish is named after an evil Character from one of my FAVORITE childhood movies- The Little Mermaid!!!!

Ursula is a glitter packed topper that is pictured with two coats. I cannot lie, the application was a bit tough, I had to fish for the larger round glitters and I ended up with extra tiny glitters, but this polish is so unique I would deal with the fishing again!!!

Next up is Cruella which is a glitterbomb of shards!!! This polish is so true to Cruella Deville that I had to put over a half white half black mani to show all of the colors on one nail!

Application is flawless and I LOVE how this polish dries to such a shiny finish with no top coat!!! For sake of this review I did use a top coat to seal in my pretties and make them shiny!!!

The last polish is Tinkerbell which is multi-faceted green sparkly beauty!!! I placed the glitter over Essie's Mint Candy Apple which has more of a blue quality to show the true green of the polish and paired it with a bellow accent nail to compliment Tink's yellow hair!

The application of this polish went on smoothly, similar to Cruella and I did not have to fish or dab for glitters!

Overall I was pleased with the polish application, glitter pay off, and beauty!

I am so happy that Super Nails allowed me to review these products to share with you and truly feel that these polishes have a good quality!

I received my shipment very quick and customer service is wonderful!

I've included other links for Super Nails below! :D

Review: Tip Top South Africa

Good Morning! :) I'm so happy it's Wednesday! I hope your week hasn't been too hard on you! I thought it was spring, but it turns out winter isn't ready to let go! Monday night I went to bed with my AC on and Tuesday I woke up having to use a snow brush before I went to work! The day went on as usual! How is the weather where you are? :-)

Without further delay-

I have a review for you! I have five beautiful polishes for you by Tip Top Nails South Africa!!! I have heard so much about these polishes from other bloggers and other nail pages, and was so anxious to try them out on my own!

Feeling blue-tiful is a super beautiful bright/navy blue. This color is absolutely beautiful! I did not want to take it off of my fingers! :-) The color went on perfectly in 2 coats, no streaks and am absolute DREAM to apply! It was so smooth and easy to apply!

Get the Party Started is an amazing neon pink, somewhat of a crelly finish (almost jelly, almost creme). My camera wanted to freak out when I was trying to capture this beauty! The color is just amazing! I can imagine wearing this color on my fingers and toes while on the beach! It takes me to a special place! It is such a beautiful color. I might add that there is NO top coat on any of these polishes, I was expecting this one as a neon to dry to a matte finish, but it was so squishy! Applied perfectly in 2 coats!

No Way Rose is the prettiest rose shade that is perfect for young or old and I think it would also be beautiful on any skin tone! :) It is also so smooth and so easy to apply as well. The color is brilliant and is perfect for any time of year! This will be a color that I know I will be grabbing for!

I Can't Tel a Lilac is a duo ended polish with a deep purple- leaning a bit navy and a pearl finished light purple color on the other end. I have to say that I LOVE the look of these two polishes together! It mixes light and dark together and is very fitting for any skin tone! Formula is excellent!

I Pink I'm In Love is another double ended polish it is a pink/coral and pearl finished light pink on the other end. The pinkish coral applied beautifully and I could wear it alone anytime! I really wanted to love the pink pearl as I have nothing like it. However it was a bit streaky and difficult to apply evenly. I had brush strokes a plenty with this polish.

These are the five polishes which were sent to me by Tip Top Nails South Africa in consideration for review. I give honest opinions in my reviews and would never attempt to mislead you with purchasing any product!

I have to say, my overall review of these products is that they are amazing! They apply like a dream and are extremely durable! Please head on over to their Facebook Page to like them and to see what great tips and products they have! :-)

Favorite Spring Nail Polishes

How are you all doing! Happy Spring! I hope you are all doing well! I want to say that Spring is one of my favorite times of year! I love the birds and the blooms. It's such a happy time when everything comes back to life, and probably one of my favorite Nail Polish Seasons! :D What's yours?

I have been so busy with work that I haven't been able to make a post so....

Buckle up! It's been a long time since I have posted a blog post and it's going to be a rather long one!!!! Good news is that I will be posting more often and I have some awesome goodies coming to share with you all! As well as these polishes which you can probably find me wearing at any point in time this spring!

First on the list is OPI's Burst My Bubble! This polish is the perfect sheer pale pink that actually leans to an off white! Beautiful formula, very chic and very elegant! Heads up ladies, this will have a VNL!

China Glaze Sweet Hook. This polish has a good formula, no streaks or bald spots. A pale lavender with a drop or two of pink, very complimentary and very spring appropriate!

Sally Hansen Xtreme wear Lacey Lilac!!! This color is like Easter on your nails!!!! It's probably my favorite purple of all time!!! The formula is a bit thick, I usually add a few drops of thinner and I'm good! This is one of the new polishes I DO have a backup for!!!

OPI's You're such a Budapest! This color is just perfect! 2-3 thin coats and you're good to go! It's almost a periwinkle purple (if there is such a thing!) It is going to be a great toe color this spring!

Zoya's Pixie Dust in Stevie! I just could not get my camera to capture the beauty! I must have taken 30 pictures of this one bottle of polish! It's so sparkly and so stunning on the nail! It's a purple with purple and silver glitters and it looks like me like there are slightly larger silver glitters mixed throughout! It's an absolute dream to apply! 2 thin coats and you're done! It's an amazing polish and is a must have for any spring collection!!!!

Another FAVE is Zoya's Perrie! This color is a purple  pink. It's such a beautiful color and would even work going into spring! It's super easy to apply, 2 coats with even application, no streaks, no bald spots. This color looks fabulous on your toes too!!

This is probably going to be my go to color this spring! China Glaze Secret Peri-winkle! I cannot say enough good things about this color! It's smooth, creamy, and just makes me so happy. It's a perfect periwinkle color with a creme finish, perfect application again!

The next polish Sinful Colors Cinderella. Ladies.... This color truly reminds me of being a little girl! The formula is not great! It's a very sheer polish so you must layer or put over white if you want it truly opaque. This color also makes other blue polishes look truly ethereal! It reminds me of all things pretty... Glass slippers, fairy wings, sparkling rhinestones... You get the point! :-) This polish is a showstopper and only around $2.00!

OPI Can't find my Chzecbook is an amazing creamy dreamy teal color! The formula is somewhat thin, but for the color I can total deal! The color is amazing and reminds me of a Robin's egg blue! It would be stunning with a gold speckle polish over top or even a silver! This color is one that I am truly excited that I invested in!

Zoya Kristen... A beautiful powder puff creme blue... It's perfect for the rainy spring days, and the beautiful spring nights! Perfect application, would look great on any skin tone!

Essie Mint Candy Apple has a cult following! This color has been seen on fingers and toes a plenty! Formula? Eh- Well... The formula leaves a lot to be desired. I can deal with the formula as the color is a mint that leans to a blue. It's almost like a mint blue white on your nails (I'm not the most descriptive). If you have tried mints with no success I would recommend picking this color up!
***Another suggestion would be Sally Hansen Xtreme wear in Mint Sorbet (around 3.00 at the drugstore).

OPI Garganuant Green Grape... This color is a true pastel green with a few drops of yellow thrown in. It's a little on the sheer side so probably 3-4 coats to be opaque (or you can make a jelly sammich).

OPI Liquid Sand in Pussy Galore (Named after the famous bond girl)... This color is one that I heard so much about last year and did not know what the all the hype was until I tried it! OMG! It sparkles in the sun like shimmers on your nails! It's a pale pink with a magenta glass fleck (I wish I could have captured!) It is stunning, simple, elegant, classic! In love! <3

Sinful Colors Soul Mate is a beautiful Coral color. It has a wonderful application, wonderful creme finish and perfect in 2 coats. You can find this color in drugstores for around $2.00!!

Orly Rage is the most perfect Rose gold polish to ever live in IMO. The color is very metallic, very true rose gold. Would go great with any other spring color as an accent nail, and you could honestly get away with one coat if you were in a hurry! I put 2 coats on the nail wheel and top top coat here.

OPI you glitter be good to me. This color is perfect over pink or purple. I love to layer it in between OPI Don't Burst my Bubble as Jelly, or use it as an accent nail. If you wanted to be super sparkly and glam you could always make it opaque in 3 coats (2 shown above).

Orly Shine on Crazy Diamond. I'm not going to lie... I bought this polish for the name (total Pink Floyd Fan), however, I am soooo happy that I did! I love this micro holo polish even more than I love China Glaze's Fairy Dust! This polish is an amazing top coat over any polish and adds that extra bit of sparkle to drab polishes or when you need a pick me up!

China Glaze Don't Make a Spectacle. This polish, OMG,... This polish! It is so dainty and so perfect. It's a topper for sure with iridescent glitter. I love this polish over mint green and pink. It's simply beautiful!!!!

*******************************

I know this was a super long post, but you cannot say that I did not warn you! I hope that you enjoyed looking at the polishes as much as I enjoy wearing them! Let me know if you own any of the above mentioned polishes, love them, hate them, want them?
